The 2013-14 season is just what you've come to expect from Fontana. A beautiful combination of some of the world’s most renowned musicians, like bassist Edgar Meyer, who will open our season with a combination of Bach and bluegrass, and Meredith Arwady, who returns to the Fontana stage with program of musical theatre and works form the American Songbook; some up-and-coming performers that will astound you, like tenor Nicholas Phan, and the Becca Stevens Band, who we are proud to present at Bell’s Brewery’s Eccentric Café; and a few challenges thrown in to stretch your ears, like the Dublin Guitar Quartet, the only guitar ensemble in the world dedicated to new music.
We’re also pleased to announce that for the 2013-14 season, thanks to support from the National Endowment for the Arts, we will have a three concert series dedicated to the life and works of Benjamin Britten in celebration of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Titled Acts of Creation: A Celebration of Benjamin Britten, this series will not only include three concerts, but a lecture series, film screenings and more.
Also new for 2013-14, or subscription packages will be even more affordable and flexible. We will offer three levels of Flex Packages, where you can create your own series and enjoy significant savings over single ticket prices.
We are so excited to bring this wonderful series of concerts to life for you, and we look forward to welcoming you to a concert soon!
Subscriptions are available starting in mid-March 2013 Please call the Fontana Chamber Arts office at 269/382-7774 for more information.
