2012 Summer Festival
Summer Festival 2012
The warm winter and early spring have heightened our anticipation for all the things we love about summers
in Michigan: the glorious sun on our skin, afternoons on
the lake, and the rich bounty at farmers’ stalls.
Along with a renaissance of good eating and increased
access to locally grown produce, dairy and other foods, Kalamazoo, Michigan, and the Midwest have also enjoyed a rebirth of a remarkable community of musicians who populate
the ranks of professional orchestras, serve as faculty for generations of aspiring musicians, and bring their artistry to the world’s stages. This summer, Fontana is again proud to present “locally grown” music, performed by your friends and neighbors, who just happen to be some of the most gifted musicians in the world. Come feast your ears.
Continuing in 2012, Fontana is pleased to offer another series of Crybaby Concerts, held in the Epic Theater in downtown Kalamazoo's Epic Center on Saturday mornings. These mini-concerts allow children under the age of two and their parents to enjoy a 45-minute performance of beautiful music in an open flexible environment - even if your little one feels like crying! For more information, visit our Crybaby Concerts page!
