The Bad Plus
The Bad Plus
Sat. Jan 28, 2012 | 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Dalton Center - WMU - Kalamazoo, MI
For the past ten years The Bad Plus has broken down the walls of jazz convention and created an uncompromising body of work. While the bulk of their output has been original music, they have also gained a reputation for deconstructing pop, rock, and country songs, as well as classical works. From gentle and melodic to fierce and abstract, from swing to 80s techno, The Bad Plus is tied together by a group sound that embraces diversity as its strength. Few jazz groups in recent memory have amassed such acclaim, and ten years in, The Bad Plus is here to stay.
Selections to be announced from the stage.
